Serious question

Someone just told me that the gubmint was going to let loose of a TON of old M-1 Carbines that were stored.

Is this right?

AFAIK, nothing has been announced. A quantity of M1 Carbines has been released to the CMP by the army, but recent sales of carbines have been to junior rifle clubs ONLY, not for general sales.

Whe CMP has announced that a"significant number" of carbines hve been sent to them. No prices as of yet.

They released a large shipment to the CMP. CMP is still grading them and they should go on sale soon.

I'm glad my Dad was able to buy one from the NRA back in the 60's for about $30. I'm really glad I still have it.
