Hey everybody I just bought a CQC Serpa for a Glock 30 and am confused as hell :cuss: It's my own stupidity but I can't figure out how to attach or wear the paddle attachment. The paddle hooks are confusing me as well. Also their is another little piece that came with the holster I can't figure out what it is. It says Sig 228 in super small letters on the piece which leads me to believe it has nothing to do with my holster but who knows. Thanks guys.

Also I'm guessing that you have to take the belt attachment off to attach the paddle? I know this probably sounds stupid of me but i'm new to this :p

The little piece in the picture means nothing, toss it.

The belt attachment does need to come off in order to install the paddle. There's three screws on the back that take a philip's head screwdriver. This is also how you adjust the cant.

Hooks are adjusted using a flat head screwdriver. Rotate hook a quarter turn, remove it, put it in the slot where you want it and rotate it back to lock it in place. This is how you can adjust for various width belts.

Also, the hooks are very aggressive and can make removing the holster difficult. I took a file to the middle hook (the one that grabs inside the pants, not the belt) and knocked it down just enough to not catch on my pants. The belt hooks still hold it plenty well.

Ok great info thanks a lot! Now how do I wear the paddle? I don't get how how to wear a belt with the paddle attachment and even more I do not see any way that i could wear a belt where the paddle hooks would have any effect on it.

So the paddle should basically look something like the part that bolts to the holster and a big "horseshoe" of plastic around that which only connects at the top of the paddle attachment.

That "horseshoe" piece pulls away from the holster and is intended to be on the inside of the pants. The other two hooks against the holster are intended to be worn on the outside of the belt with the hooks grabbing the underside of the belt.

If need be I can try to get a couple pictures up here in a few minutes to illustrate.

Here's a couple pictures that hopefully illustrate the setup alright.

Ok I got it now thank you so much. I can't get the hooks to stay in when I attach the paddle to the holster so I took them out. The hook that is actually on the paddle works great holding the serpa when I draw so the paddle hooks do not seem to be needed although i'm sure they would help but I know I am putting them in right but the holster pushes them out when I attach it to the paddle. Thanks so much I think I have it under control now.

A couple more (hopefully, there seems to be server problems).

The hooks shouldn't be contacting the holster body at all when installed properly.

You should be able to see in that last picture that the hooks face your body / belt when installed properly.

I can't get the hooks to stay in when I attach the paddle to the holster so I took them out.

The only thing I can figure here is that you're trying to put the hooks on the wrong side of the paddle, or trying to install the paddle the wrong way around.

Yea you hit the nail on the head! I was trying to put the hooks on backwards and was confused as hell. The included picture with the Serpa looked like the hooks went on the front not the back. I see now thanks again for all your help.

Throw away the paddle, get a quality belt, and put the belt attachment back on. Problem solved. It'll be more stable on a purpose-built belt anyway you look at it.

I really dislike the paddle on mine and threw all four away. You have to drop your pants to get the thing off and that defeats the purpose.

There is no reason I can think of that one should have to modify a brand new product to make it work. Blackhawk should to the modifying prior to selling any more.
