Settled on a Super Sniper but what power?

I'd get the 10x. I shot the side focus model before and it works fine out as far as you'll shoot a .308.

My target rifles have variable power scopes on them now. A Nikon with 5-20x and a Leupold with 8.5-25x. I typically shoot with them set at 12x, sometimes more sometimes less. I hardly ever go over 18x. I dial them down to their lowest settings when I want to see bullets hitting the targets.

The crosshairs on the SS make it hard to do precise target shooting. A little thick for my liking. I prefer the Leupold fine duplex.

I've got a 20x that came on my Howa 1500 .300 Win Mag...Really wish it was a 10x, 20x is just toooo much for anything under 500 yards. I plan to keep it for a future AR build but it's going to be replaced before this years deer season kicks off, I want something around a 4-12x for hunting.

If you aren't shooting a moving target the 20x might just be right for you. It's also the cheapest.
