Will be in the area Dec 28 to Jan 3.
Other than the local amusement sights we've been to before, are there any non published so to speak areas of interest?
What about a good place to spend New years Eve?
Thanks

If you have a 4x4, there's a trail leading from Cades Cove (somewhere in the 1st half) that'll take you across the mtn and into Townsend. It's about 10 miles or so and not too rough, but there are some good views and it's "off the beaten path" so to speak.

Eat at The Apple Barn. Good food and great service. They have good apple based wines in the winery.

We got married there (imagine that) and try to go back most years over our anniv (mid-Jan).
We always eat at the Old Mill restaraunt in Pigeon Forge. We had our rehearsal dinner there, also. There is an Italian restaraunt called Santo's (I think) that's pretty good.

I used to go to the Smith & Wesson store, but it's gone now.
