Sevigny competition sights for indoor ranges?

Does anyone use the Sevigny competition sights at an indoor range..if so do you get a clear sight picture without any dots to help?
I'm especially interested in hearing from people over 45 who like me have near perfect eyesight from about one yard away but not so good up close!?
I'm asking about the sevigny in particular because I like a sharp matt black sight picture with plenty of air around the front post .

I have the Warren Tactical Rear Sight with the Dawson Fiber Optic front which are similar IIRC. Basically you aim like you would on any sight (you aren't supposed to use the white dots except in low light), you align the top of the post with the top of the notch, and keep the post in the center of the notch.
