I'm looking for a sheath/scabbard for a SEAL Pup, better in quality than the in-the-box plastic scabbard. Something that will hold it in place on a belt, where the original just kind of slides around whenever it wants to. The less bulky the better.

Anyone know of source for good aftermarket sheaths for these knives?

I carry a SOG Seal Pup every day. Have you tried removing the belt attachment? I did so, wrapped a strap around the bottom, and wear it on my belt. The strap on the bottom is to make sure you don't draw the sheath along with the knife. Since my belt loops can't move, the sheath stays where I place it quite nicely. You do have to watch out when you unbuckle your belt, as the sudden loss of tension on the sheath might cause it to fall off.

For now I've managed to switch around the belt attachment to facilitate IWB carry at about 9 o'clock (maybe 8:30), with the hilt titled just a little forward. Concealable with limited movement, but not always that comfortable.

clipse: Thanks for the link.

Please forgive my ignorance, but I recently bought a Seal Pup and can't figure out what that contraption on the back of the sheath is for. Can someone please enlighten me? I'm used to the good ole leather sheath that just thread onto your belt. Course, I'm on the "old" side and not too "technological".
:D Thanks.

It's a extra-large belt attachment for use with military-style pistol belts. If you don't like it, just use a Philips-head screwdriver and remove it. Like I said above I find it works just fine held in place under my trouser belt.
