Anyone have any sheep hunting pictures yet?
It would seem so, unless he takes dropped antlers into the woods because his backpack and rifle weren't heavy and awkward enough already. That a shed you found?^
Mountain goat hunting isn't exactly easy either. How far was the shot? That outcrop looks like it might be tricky to get on top of. I won't hijack your thread, but I do remember those sheep hunts being the toughest hunts I've ever been on. That's the problem with sheep, they don't like to live where humans like to live.
Congrats!!!

Yea, found the shed when recovering the ram. It did not make a very good trekking stick. How far was the shot? That outcrop looks like it might be tricky to get on top of. At the other end of the extreme is sheep hunting in Alberta at -10, don't ask me how I know. Glassing for dall sheep after a snowstorm isn't exactly a picnic.Man, can't believe the weather you had on those 2 hunts anyway!
Sheep and goat hunting in shirtsleeves
Look at my name, I've spent many winters working/flying in Alaska and Canada in the winter and am no stranger to freezing my arse off. Didn't say I enjoyed it, just no stranger.^ He needs to visit Wyoming, we work in that all winter.
