Can anyone tell me where to find a vest similar to what the gentleman in the photo is wearing? It has loops to hold about a box of shells and several pockets for empty hulls. No game bag on the back. I've looked online at Cabela's and Gander Mountain and don't see anything similar.

Moderators, please move this if it's in the wrong section.

Thanks!

Interesting. I have never seen anything close to that in my 61 years. Most of them have the shell bases exposed, risking scratching the gun, but that one is opposite. Should work good with waders too, and that guy looks like a waterfowler.
I found many years ago that the weight of a vest would make my shoulders sore after a day afield, so I went to the 3 pouch belts. Not worth a hoot with waders though.

Thanks for the reply. The man is indeed a waterfowler and he lives and hunts in western Kazakhstan. The vest was probably made in Russia. I'm trying to find something similar for another friend of mine and sporting goods are often much less expensive here in the USA.

Well I think your best bet would be McAlister Waterfowl Wading Vest, holds 26. About $100

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll have a look at the sporting goods and police supply stores when I get a chance.

Molle loops / daisy chains are exactly compatible with shotgun shells and come in a variety of makes, colors, sizes, and designs. They are very handy.

The man is Kazakh and he's certainly old enough to have served in the Soviet armed forces. In fact, he probably didn't have a choice.

Yeah, but what I'm getting at is that the loop vest might be Russian military surplus. Look around for places that carry that kind of thing.
