Are you familiar with Pyramid Air? In 2012 they sold me a Benjamin CR 397 valve repair kit for my beloved 1963 Sheridan Silver Streak 5mm multi-pump pneumatic rifle. The repair restored full original power. The kit's price was $28 and came with a numbered full schematic drawing of the rifle. Be sure to buy a tube of Crosman Pellgun Oil and a .17-caliber brass rod cleaning kit. www.PyramidAir.com. Solon, Ohio. (855) 367-7509. Good luck!
Keep a single pump of air in the gun while storing, after the fix, and it will last for decades. What great rifles those Blue/Silver streaks are!
If you want another worthwhile project look into a scout scope setup. Buy the barrel mount and an inexpensive long eye relief fixed 2.5X pistol scope, like NC Star. This setup enhances and delights.
Nice, never head of keeping one pump in the gun. she shoots but looses air and the stock needs a little love. It's going to be a fun project while the snow piles up.
I've had my Blue streak for forty years. Had a friends buddy resealed it almost 20 years ago he suggested keeping one pump when stored and use only a good quality airgun oil to lube it.
It's still going strong, it's my favorite airgun.
