Question:

I have a close friend (close as in, closer than blood- I'd trust him to watch my back if TSHTF) who's asked me to do some .45ACP reloads for him.

I live in SC. He lives in VA.

What are the applicable laws regarding shipping ammo person to person?

He is a former LEO, good standing, CWP holder, etc. A model citizen, so no worries there.

I have no worries he might do something ill-advised with the ammo. I just don't want to find myself in dutch with the law. If it comes to breaking a law, I will not do it.

You can ship via UPS or FedEx. The box needs to be marked "small arms ammo" (they have labels). No hazmat fees required, as with primers and powder.
