As a kid, I used to shoot clay doves with my father's Contender pistol and a .410 barrel. One of us was good enough to break half the birds, but I don't remember if it was me or Dad. While I don't have a .410 Contender barrel, I would be interested if anybody else has had this experience.

Can anybody share their Contender, M6, or other .410 target shooting experiences?

Many years ago I shot a buddy's contender pistol in .410 on the skeet range. Shot two rounds, a 23 and a 22, couldn't do doubles ;) Nobody could believe I had hit so many with a pistol. The worst thing about it was remembering to cock the the hammer every time.

Tom Held, who posts here on occasion, has in my presence shot 19/25 at trap singles with a nice little Browning O/U 410. Load was 1/2 oz of 7 1/2s. He wrote to say that he's bettered that since.

Some skeeters are awesome with 410s.

And a pair of decades ago, a hunting buddy had a Spanish made 410 SxS with hammers, a pretty little thing weighing about what my old Red Ryder Daisy did. Fun to hit charcoal briquets flung out softball style.
