Anyone in the Minneapolis area going to the Bill's Gun Shop & Range shooters show this weekend in Robbinsdale? I am! Free gun rental & range fee. Just pay for the ammo! You can shoot automatic weapons for just the price of the ammo! Even shoot the .50 cal Barrett!

Nope, Bill's is right up there with Gander Mountain in ripping off & gouging the public,
1. Bushmaster XM15 = $1350.00
2. Colt's 6920 = $1700.00
3. S&W M&P = $1180.00
4. DPMS AP4 Panther = $1180.00
5. Stag (model ?) = $1150.00
6 ATI = $999.00
and on & on it goes, wouldn't send a penny of my money their way no matter what robbery event they've planned for the public.

I don't agree with you about that. Nobody is as high as Gander! Besides I've bought several pistols from them and their price was very good. They had some Dan Wessons a few months ago for excellent prices. A Valor for $1350. That is a deal. They're not the best in town, but they're competitive and reliable.

I walked through yesterday. More manufacturers this time...Glock actually has a table, and that's a rarity at this show.

Bills prices are high compared to Frontiersman or Gunstop, but they aren't THAT outrageous. Certainly less than Gander, and Bills has a better selection. I do most of my purchasing at Frontiersman, but I've bought from Bills. You just need to know what is a fair price.

When you are looking, knock $20 off the price in your head to compensate for the "free" range pass. You're paying for it in the price of the gun, of course...but I'd end up going to the range eventually anyways.

Very well said Mark! I just got back from checking it out this morning. I got there about 10:15 and it was already pretty busy. I'm glad I got my shooting in early because by Noon it was a long wait to get to the range. I'll bet there was 50-75 people waiting in a line to get to the checkout for the range use!

Believe it or not, I shot a Glock 19 and I was pretty impressed! It has very light recoil (even for a 9mm) and the trigger was very nice for a DA. I might have to get one someday. (he says sheepishly)

XM15 carbines are available for $900.00 NIB! Colt's 6920's at about $1100.00-1200.00! DPMS AP4's can be had for about $700.00! S&W and Stag for about $8-900.00! ATI's are junk at any price, but usually can be had for about $600.00+!
No doubt you'll be enjoying that $20.00 range pass they gave you for a weapon that they almost charged you double price for...

LOL it is what it is a chance to fondle and test drive guns, NO ONE said you had to buy it there....Gunstop has the best prices in town. Of course a person can always buy on line and run it thru a FFL.... So many choices! If you are not smart enough to make an effort to support local operations then you just can wait till there are only big box vendors....who will not do ffl transfers....and such.

But when some of you whine factor in many things...overhead things like lights, heat, water, insurance, salaries, costs of carrying inventory.....

I love people who whine because they are cannon fodder for conversations about dumb ass people!

Dumb ass people? You ought to know, frequenting a shop that is charging almost double the price of any other operation for the same product certainly is stupid.
