So asked about this powder when Powder Valley ran a no hazmat special on it. No one responded that they heard about it except a member from across the pond.
Bought a lb of it out of curiosity from Powder Valley with a recent order.
Runs like a fine grain sand thru my lnl pwder measure. Load data, 223, was from the bottle and maxed at 24.5. Backed it off 10% and started at 23.2 and laddered .2 to 24.4. Every round shot cleanly definitely felt more recoil around 24.2 and 24.4. May settle on 24.3 for plinking until I get the chrono out at some point. Using 55fmj BT from RMR.
Not BDS quality photos, but took some of the powder and bottle. Currently using H335, but may throw an 8lb jug in for the next order if the chrono comes back with consistent numbers.

Thanks for the report! I've been thinking of trying this powder sometime for my various AR-15 rifles... Been waiting on bds to report, LOL! Thanks again bbqreloader!

bbqreloader, thanks for the report.

You know, there's only 24 hours in a day ... and I still work full time ... and we have 50 chickens, 2 goats and 3 dogs ... and soon 10 ducklings :D

Until I retire in about 2 years, I will mainly focus on pistol/carbine load developments and comparison tests. Believe me, I have about 10 new powders and 30 new bullets to test and it's a daunting task!
Thanks for getting it from us!
I am waiting for Alliant Sport Pistol and IMR Unequal to come in stock but will likely add Shooters World/Lovex powders to do comparison tests.

LOL bds, you mean you're supposed to get some sleep in a week too? :D

I see that Midsouth is starting to sell these powders as well, personally I prefer dealing with Powder Valley since they're so close to us here in CO, but thought I'd just mention it.

bbqreloader, keep us posted on your findings!

Shooters World has an Auto Pistol that is compared to Accurate 5 and HS 6. MIght throw a lb of that in my next order to give it a test. Although 40 caliber is tougher because of a gap between 155gr and 180gr that's not filled with load info.

There are plenty of load data for 165 gr bullets.

My match caliber was 40S&W and favorite weight was 165 gr FMJ/JHP.

I'll just have to look deeper, I was specifically referring to the Shooters World Auto pistol powder. Used to finding load data by powder with bullet weight. This one is a little tougher, if I'm understanding your comment correctly.

Glad you liked the powder bbqreloader! Thanks for getting it from us!
First off, so glad you guys are on here! There are a lot of members who buy from your company and really appreciate it when you interact with us on posts!
Like the new site BTW, as always change is hard but you get used to things as it goes along.
Finally, if you run another NO HAZ MAT could you PM me first so I can burn a hole in the credit card before these fine folks clog your ordering system :D

Got it. You can reference load data for heavier bullet and conduct powder work up for 165 gr bullet using 180 gr start/charges - http://shootersworldsc.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/Shooters-world-reloading-manual-12-16-16.pdf

155 gr Hornady XTP Auto Pistol OAL 1.125" Start 6.9 gr 963 fps - Max 8.3 gr 1159 fps 32,613 PSI
180 gr Xtreme FP Auto Pistol OAL 1.125" Start 6.5 gr 875 fps - Max 8.4 gr 1130 fps 34,812 PSI

I'm going to try Shooters World Match Rifle in my new M1A as soon as I figure out where to order it. I like Powder Valley and their prices are good but their hazmat is kinda steep if I'm only ordering 4lbs and a couple boxes of primers.

tcoz, midway shows in stock, but you get hosed because they over charge by shipping powder/primers seperate. Brownells carries it, but currently out of stock. Natchez has it, but charges 30 for hazmat. Save up for a bulk buy like I did and just get it from PV.

Here's some results from today's testing, the chrono (Caldwell) was being a little finicky today for some tests, don't know why all the data did not record. Hand Built AR, barrel is a Ballastic Advantage 16" 1:7

Shooters World just had a contest on Facebook to name a their new powder. I picked Precision Rifle and I guess they liked it enough to give me an 8lb jug of powder for free. I chose Tactical Rifle and have will match them up with some 55gr Speer Gold Dots. Your results mirror many of my observations for 55gr training loads and factory loads when fired from an AR-15. Pretty high ES and SD's. Despite that I can still get decent groups.

I loaded a bunch of ammo using 23.5 SWTR and 50gr soft point bullets. They shot well in 3 AR's and 3 mini 14's. Accurate as I am. Haven't tried them in bolt rifles. Very clean, meters great. I like it. Once I try it in my bolt rifles I will know something about its accuracy.

I picked it up out of curiousity and really liked. I also like how it meters and burns. My next order from PV will have 8#s of it.

Old thread but just picked up 8#'s of Tact rifle! Love H335, but this burns clean and gives nice performance in reloads for my target shooting. Cannot give any info for hunters, leave that up to them to try.
