My shooting buddy Dan "gifford" has a very nice 45 cal T/C Patroit. We went
shooting yesterday and I got a little video. He shoots 15 grs of Goex BP.

I really like shooting my Patriot. Now I'll have to get one like your repeater. I watched the video for several minutes, and I didn't see the shooter reload a single time. He must have gotten off 15-20 rounds without a hitch. I must not be doing something quite right.

Very cool pistol. It's a T/C so the quality is excellent.

But why the seemingly light 15-grain load? T/C recommends 30 grains of FFFG for best accuracy. I'm not being critical here, just curious.

Gifford,
Do mean to tell me that version is only available in Hollyweird, it isn't really, really real ???:cuss:

What was I thinkin':banghead:

Jason - yes, it's a very light load, not my usual load, I usually shoot 20 grains. The T/C Patriot has an unfortunate tendency to crack it's stock; various shooters have theorized it is the result overtightening the lock bolt, overcharging it by using more than 20-25 grains, or a design flaw in the stock or a combination thereof to name a few I've heard.

I'm hoping to keep it shooting for a while longer so I stick with 20 grains. I did shoot that load unusually well it at the last FOML club shoot, with three 10X and 1 10 at 50 yards.
