Shooting an FG-42 this weekend

I just got my hands on one of the new 2nd model FG-42s being made by SMG in Texas. I'm taking it up to the range this weekend to shoot the snot out of it.

It's a gorgeous piece of work, and I'm really eager to get behind the trigger. Video will be taken!

Ian ... I can tell you that you are in for a real treat. It's a great rifle and as fun to shoot as it looks like it would be. Felt recoil is more like shooting 7.62 X 39 than 7.92 X 57. It's not a target rifle, but has acceptable accuracy. Looking forward to your video!
