I'm looking for a club or range in the Rochester, NY area. I haven't been to a range in about 2 years (long story). My son and I used to shoot at Shoe's Gun Shop. Like so many other gun stores, he went out of business. I've never been to any of the private clubs in the area, and I'm not aware of any public ranges (rifle) since Shoe's and Creekside closed. Here's my wish list in order of importance:
- AR-15/military rifle friendly. We shoot mostly AR's. Some folks don't like being on the same range with them. That's OK, but t's best to know that before you sign up.
- 100 yard outside range facilities. More is better, but tough to come by around here.
- Ability to shoot during the week. My son often works weekends.
- Ability to shoot unsupervised (after certification?)
- Availability of Matches/Instruction.
- Indoor .22 facilities (less important but nice).
I can travel a bit if I need to (Shoe's was about 45 minutes SE of here).
Thanks in advance for your help.
