As I got older, I find myself having a hard time to focus on iron sights while indoors, but outside, not so much, and since most rifles are outfitted with some kind of magnified optics, I have not had a need to shoot with prescription glasses.
Red dot optics are a whole new issue. Astigmatism kicks in, and all I see is a cluster of dots, so I buy green dot sights, and if I can, will stick with the optics that comes with a circle and dot. That is the best I can do to shoot green/red dot sights.
Since I have issues with iron sights, I would probably follow some of the recommendations on this thread. I have some cool tactical frames (like the ones that some cool military guys used to have back in the day) and I will ask the guy at the optic shop to flip the lenses upside down so I do not have to fiddle with the glasses while on the prone position. I was thinking of wearing my regular glasses upside down, but I did not, for the fear of people talking about the weird guy with the stuff upside down!
This is the best/most productive thread so far!
