With my 56 year old eyes I cannot even see the rear sight of my Model 70 without my lower bifocal.
That, of course, blurs the target beyond useless.
The solution is a diopter, which works like magic:
The 1949 Model 70:
The Lyman Hawkeye diopoter on average quality uncorrected plastic shooting glasses:
3 shot group at 100 yards from a bag at the bench:
Was aiming at bottom of 6 inch splatter target so the iron sights need some serious adjustment.
