In this video I'll be shooting my military Remington Rolling Block rifle made in the 1870s. This rifle is chambered for the big .43 Spanish cartridge.

This rifle is basically a stock military Remington, though I've had the trigger pull reduced to reasonable levels by a local gunsmith and I've mounted a Marbles, tang-mounted lollipop sight.

Good Job as always.

Neat to get that Rolling Block Rolling again.

Are those BP loads or some substitute or even smokeless powder loadings?

Do You use paper patch bullets?

After watching this vid the You Tube showed me your work on .45ACP/AR in Webleys......gotta know as BP editor did you make up any BP loads for the Webley based on .45 ACP/AR?

No paper patches, just a .439, 370 grain LRN over 70 grains of Olde Eynsford 1.5Fg black powder.

Yes, I've made B-P .45 ACP loads...3Fg Swiss works best for this.

Rolling blocks are good rifles for black powder. Not the strongest but adequate for the cartridges of the day. I have a couple, one of which I am still considering reworking to replicate a Gemmer styled rifle. So many projects, so little time....
