Shooting sports (pistol) in NE Ohio

Hi, I am just curious if there are any competitive shooting sports for pistol in NE Ohio. I am interested in getting into something, but haven't had much luck finding anything online. I am primarily interested in using my 1911 (.45 ACP) if it matters. I would appreciate any help and guidance.

The national pistol matches are being held at Camp Perry this week. If you head over there to check it out, you will find no shortage of information about bullseye pistol.

Canton McKinley Rifle and Pistol Club is one of the premier ranges in this part of the country (NE Ohio). They hold the largest Bulls-eye match in the country a week before Camp Perry. All the military, i.e. Army, Army Reserve, National Guard, Coast Guard, Marines, Police, etc. and civilians are there. Brian Zins (and his cigar) is a member. Check out the web site. There is every dicipline of shooting except 50BMG and full-auto.

Portage Summit Feild & Stream in Deerfield OH has USPSA pistol matches .
They are held on the 2nd Sat. of the month. There are 3 more matches left this year Aug. 13, , Sept. 17 & Oct. 8. from 9:00 - 1:00.
