This is a video about what is, in my opinion, the prettiest revolver of the old west, the first model Richards 1860 Army cartridge conversion.

This is an Armi San Marco replica from 1998, chambered in .44 Colt...still one of my favorite sixguns.

Love those old conversions, I have an 1851 Colt w a 45 colt
cyl but I have had a broken hand spring twice.

Im gonna put a coil spring setup in it one of these days.

In my experience broken hand springs are usually caused by roughness in the hand slot in the frame. A S&W hand slot file and a hand slot stone should cure that pretty easily.

I agree that the First Model Richards Conversion is the prettiest of all cartridge guns.

I would have liked to find a functioning ASM Type I, but I'm pretty content with my Cimarron Type II as well.
