I noticed your trigger finger looked a bit too far forward when you shot. Did you get any gas blowing across the tip of your finger from the cylinder when the round went off ?:scrutiny:

I have a Uberti Patterson. I notice the grip on the Pietta is different; the bottom edge of the Uberti version is rounded while the Pietta has a "edge."

And boy, is my Uberti ever put together TIGHT. !!!
 
Since the Patterson is so different from the later Colts and Remingtons it's nice to see a video of one to get an appreciation for the differences. As always you gave us a nice blend of the technical and historical factors to round out the story.
 
I recently sold my Paterson. I had it for five or so years. Great shooter, accurate due to the long barrel. Pain in the neck to reassemble, though. I gotta say that I had great luck with the loading tool - it was a simple and quick loading procedure.
