Yup, the first time. I'm almost 40 and this is my first go at .45. Of course the last few months I was healing up after my wreck and I did not want to chance anything impeding that.
The gun was a Glock 21 rental, shooting some way off-Broadway ammo that I had never heard of but hey, you shoot their gun you shoot their ammo.
Recoil was not bad, the report did not seem as sharp as when I fire my G26.
It was accurate and fun to shoot.
On the downside it beat the hell out of my middle finger. Small price to pay though.
The most humorous thing was how fast the casings came flying out. I thought my 26 could spit brass but this thing had it beat to hell.
I took one off the face a bunch more off the head and one hit my ear protecter. That brass on plastic sound was louder that the gunshot itself!
So it was a great experience, and now I know I can handle a G20 but alas they do not have one.
