After completing the range work portion of my Missouri concealed carry course the instructor (don't worry Feds, he's a Class 3 holder) brought out his Swedish Gustav and a Thompson. I elected to shoot the Gustav. Hee hee. I was giggling like a school girl before I even squeezed the trigger. The laughter turned a little more maniacal as I fired off several bursts. The gun was pretty accurate and the feeling of the weapon's recoil on my shoulder was great. Really shouldn't have done it though, now I want to spend the money to get a Class 3 and all the other b.s. that goes with it just to have my own SMG. Of course I would abide by all ATF rules.
Dude

did a little in the army its good fun huh ? unfortunately didnt get to do much and here in WA they are illegal so even if I could afford one I couldnt get one unless I moved .

Go rent one first, and feed it for a couple hours. That'll give you some perspective of your future ammo costs. Kinda like hookers....sexy, fun and expensive.

Check out knob creek in October, they have several machine guns you can rent and shoot all you want
