Put 40 rounds through it, Winchester white box, 115 grain fmj. No failures, light recoil, points great and feels great. Even with the new, stiff, gritty trigger, I was getting 3" groups at 15 yards, not bad at all.

I figure after about 300 rounds, the trigger will get much better. My XD-40 trigger is smooth as butter, but its had about 5000 rounds through it.

Your SR-9c will get better with some time and rounds down range. A good friend of mine got one last year and the trigger was extremely gritty, but after a 500 or so rounds, it is not a bad trigger at all.

A buddy of mine sells alot of them at his shop. I don't see any used ones comming back. Enjoy.

About an hour ago I put another 150 rounds through mine. I haven't been counting but I'd guess it's fired, at least, 5-6 hundred rounds of mixed ammo. All trouble free.

The only complaint I have with the gun is the magazines are costly and I still haven't found any.

Yeah, I hear ya about it being a fun gun. I bought a 100 rd box of winchester white box, shot 40 rounds of it yesterday. I'm really fighting the urge to take it out again today, lol. I can't afford to blast through 100 rounds in a weekend.

That'll change in the near future though, once I get a brass stockpile built up, I'll be reloading.

If this Ruger lends itself to dry-firing (I've never shot one) that would be an economical way to smooth out that trigger and learn a little more trigger control...always a good thing!

The SR-9 full size was the best gun "out of the box" I ever shot, and I've been shooting 50 years. Now, I've got the SR-9, SR-40, and the SR-9C... if you notice a trend. They all perform like they are high-dollar guns, and I can't keep them in the shop. They sell out almost as quickly as they come in... and I have a waiting list for them.

Great purchase, and lots of fun to shoot.
