My dad, God Bless his soul, died on April 12th, 1996 had shared a moment of much enjoyed clay busting several years prior to his death at age 79. Prior to that special day, my Dad and I had never shared a single moment bonding, and he had never fired a gun in his life. I don't remember him ever enjoying himself as he did on that day, much less spending it together as Father and Son. So as a tribute to our only special moment, and having carried his creamated remains with me for all these years wondering what would be the most memorable manner in which to spread his dust, I and came up with an idea tonight that would seem appropiate for both of us. So my plan is to load him up in some clay loads and use them to shoot a round in the middle of no where, my back yard.
I just thought that my friends here at THR could share their thoughts or support regarding this idea. I know it might seem morbid to some here, but a simple word of support from one or two opened minded friends would help me assemble a simple and safe recipe to carry out my plan.
Thanks for your ear and ideas as to a safe recipe using 12 ga. 2 3/4" AA, Gold Medal, or STS hulls, mec 600 JR. and either Longshot or HS6 on hand. I have every powder bushing and shot bar mec offers so the only information I need is how I will combine the remains with the shot safely.
