Okay, time to do one last new thread on the dinner, so folks don't have to wade through all of the to and fro on the other existing threads. The High Road SHOT Show dinner is going to be at Battista's Italian Restaurant, Friday January 28th at 9PM.

Battista's is located on Flamingo, a half block off-strip, with lots of free easy parking right there. It's behind the Barbary Coast (that's on the strip) and across Flamingo from Bally's. If you can hit a target at 7 yards half the time, you can't miss Battista's!

There's a nice bar area, if you get there early. After dinner, Bourbon Street next door has an inexpensive bar where we can shove tables together.

They want it on one credit card, so to make it easy, BRING CASH. Pay me what you owe, and I'll be the "bank" and use the plastic. Remember, BRING CASH, okay? I don't want my wife to kill me when the credit card bill comes, LOL!

This is what I look like. Once again, Kasey Beltz is letting me hang out at his Accu-Shot booth, that's #1230 in the Law Enforcement room.

WildAlaska: We had to pick either 6 or 9 PM for a large party, and we thought 6PM was too early for the convention booth manners. Not enough time to close up, get back to the hotel, shower etc.

THR at Batista

I will be in LV by Wednesday night. I am going to attend the dinner at Batista's. I think I can find it since I can actually hit the 7 yd target about half the time. See you at 9 PM. Is there a contact number?

I was looking for a number to call to confirm the reservation etc. It's probably unnecessary.
I do think the 7 yd targets should be made much larger!

I made the reservation, and they have my CC# to validate it. You'd have to have my name to check it anyway - don't worry it's done. :)

If you get lost Battista's number is 702-732-1424

See You There

See you there. I can stop in for awhile, say hello and shake some hands and maybe have a libation while we share some ideas and swap stories. Because of the late start, I'll only be able to stay about an hour, but hey I'll be up at O-Dark-Thirty for the next day's SHOT Show activities.

Looking forward to seeing those who attended last year PLUS others who'll be joining in for the first time. If you haven't been to a SHOT show before, you'll thoroughly enjoy yourself.

I called Battista's and changed the reservation from 25 to between 30 and 35. Hoggunner is in town now and so is AZHusker who will go to the dinner. Seems like we'll have quite a crowd! I haven't been able to leave the house in a week for being crippled up, and I can't go to the Show, but I wouldn't miss this for anything. Look for the big limpy guy who'll probably have a cane. The cane is in case Wildalaska gets all amped up and starts his "Silence of the Lambs" dancing. :D

Last post until after the SHOT Show! I'll be up at 0400 to drive from San Diego to Las Vegas. See ya'll at dinner!

Valkman. I need to hook up with you. I got those NFA items in at Kellys. :what:
Need to get the Form 4s done.
Never did it in this county.

So, how was the dinner?

I wasn't able to make it to the dinner (Didn't get to Vegas until Saturday) but wondered how it went?

I stopped by the Wild West Guns booth and met WildAlaska at the show. I thought he could give me a report but he said he missed the dinner as well.

It was great! I missed Ken and really wanted to meet him, but we had a good time. Not near as many showed up as we thought were going to, but some showed up from FAL Files and two guys (Darren and Jesse) from Grenadier Precision. We wound up with 20-25.

I didn't see any pictures being taken of the get together.
If you didn't show up, you missed it.

The dinner was great! I showed up a little late (sorry guys) and found one seat left at the end of the table. I was staying at the Mandalay and couldn't access my car as fast as I thought. THR people (and FAL-- Hi Jen!) were very nice. Many thanks to Valkman for setting it all up.
I checked the Wild Alaska booth to see the guy in pink high heels but he wasn't there. High quality lever action products were very nice.
