I do believe my credit card and bank account will suffer for a long time to come... :uhoh:

Ye gods, what ugly rifles! BTW, anyone check out the CZ mounted bayonet?!? Eek....reminds me of the old Warhammer push plate for 1911s from yesteryear, mixed with a boarding pistol from the 1700s! Now that's a CZ accesory even I have no use for....

Guntalk was good today. The program was from the SHOT show and discus some of the new stuff unveiled. They talked to someone from Taurus and they sounded like they had some interesting new stuff. They had a guy from S&W that discussed that new 460. That sounded real interesting. 200 grain bullet at 2300+ fps. It is .45 caliber and for practice loads you can shoot either .454 Casull or .45 Colt rounds out of it. They claimed that if you zero it at 200 yards, you can hold dead on (on a deer) from the muzzle to 240 yards. AND, they claim it is a true MOA shooter.
We had a decent turnout for our SHOT dinner at Battista's Hole in the Wall on Friday night. Probably 20-30 people showed up including some people from other boards such as The FAL Files.
(I didn't go to the show and never have).

Okay, Lord forgive me....but does anyone have idea what the Taurus 1911 is going to retail for?

I just saw the pic of it over at gunblast.com

Hey, if it's at least as good as a Norinco, you can't go wrong.

Plus, Taurus does have the lifetime, no-questions-asked warranty.

I've owned a couple of Taurus .357 mag revovlers, and for the money, I think they are hard to beat.

I figure the 1911 would be about the same quality.

Not great, but pretty darn good for the price.
