I recently bought my 1st shotgun; a Baikal 12 coach gun, 2 & 3/4" chambers with double triggers, internal hammers, and OC's.
The shot gun adapters change the GA from 12 to 20 or 12 to 410 or 9mm etc. I believe they are around 3" long (not long inserts for the bore).
I would think (but dont know) that shooting a 20ga round thru a 12ga that velocity/energy would suffer because the wad (or what ever its called these days) wouldnt 'seal' in the bore like it would if a 12 ga was shot thru a 12ga. It seems even more would be lost shooting .410 thru the 12ga.
I'd like info as to the short term and long term effects of shooting 20 GA or .410 through it.
I wouldnt really do it other than for novelty or for emergancy reasons because there isnt any ballistic or monetary advantage.
But I'd like to hear input.
Thanks in advance.
