Morning! I've been wacking squirrels around the house for the last few days. Too many and they're just rodents anyway. Thought I had them cleared out so I put my .22 back in the toy room. Walked out on the back porch a few minutes ago and there were two more, scampered up a tree. I have an old 12ga double hanging on the wall in the den, it was handy so I took it and two low power #8 shot shells and killed them both. Said all that to ask about the gun, was given to me a while back in very poor exterior condition. Dirt daubers in barrel, surface rust, cracked stock, but I like to do that type of stuff and it took a lot of time but it's a decent gun now. Can't find any info on it. 28", 12 ga, double barrel, external hammers, Belgium marks (crown, Leige), only marks are "choke bored" "Prime Sereisen Steel" and "Rogers Arms Co" Receiver is very nicely engraved as are hammers and trigger guard. Any ino would be appreciated. Will post a few pictures later tonight. Thanks

I did a little research with Google and found a couple of references to Rogers guns. It appears that these old guns were either made or imported by Hood Firearms Co. The post was by a gunsmith that indicated that the gun has very little value and that he has made parts for the old guns but the cost of the work was more than the gun is worth. It probably has sentimental value only. Keep it for old time's sake.
