I have aquired a 12 guage, double barrell, double hammer, double trigger shotgun. It appears to have been made in Germany prior to WWII. It has writing and other markings in German, is engraved and has other detail markings. I took it to Cabela's gun library to see what they could tell me and it wasn't much other that it might be a guild gun which they said a gunsmithing student might have made as a requirement to graduate. Any information or other guideance would be apprciated.

My apologies but I can't seem to get the photos to attach. Every attempt results in an error message that says a security token is missing. Suggestions on how to resolve?

The forearm has a release lever which is all engraved and the forearm is checkered. Under the forearm it says "FLLSSSTANL - KRUPP ESSEN J. There are a number of stampings on the bottom of the barrels. Some are numbers, 13, 13/1, 12 (inside a circle), 10, 21, 22 and 7. There is the letter 'S' and the letter 'W' which are both under a symbol that looks like a crown. There are also stamps on both sides of the barrel and I can't be sure of what they are except one appears to be the letter 'N' under a crown. Any of this help?

What markings are there? Does the forearm come off, and if so, what markings are on the flats and water table?

There is a FAQ on how to post pics

Looked at the FAQ on posting photos and I'm doing what it says to. Not sure why it doesn't work. Have attached photos to previous postings.

There are also markings on the top of the barrels. One has "TRIER" and the other has "GEBR. SCHMITZ" There is actually engraving on just about every metal surface, including the screw heads.
