I have just removed a Bushnell 1.75x4 from my Rem. 1100. This scope is sold for shotguns. Would it be feasible to mount this on a Saiga .308 which I shoot fairly well with iron sights at 100yds. I shot sabots great with it from the bench but couldn't seem to catch up with a running deer.

The only real difference between a shotgun scope and a rifle scope is the distance at which the scope is set to be free of parallax. Generally speaking, a shotgun scope is set to be parallax free at 50, 60, or 75 yards depending on model and manufacturer, and a rifle scope is set to be parallax free at 100 or 150 yards, again depending on model and manufacturer.
