Shotgun shipping

The Post Office CAN do it, assuming no legal prohibitions to the contrary in YOUR STATE.
Package it up securely, take it in, run it through like any other package.
Insure it.
Unlike UPS & FedEx, you do NOT have to advise that it's a firearm.

You do not need an FFL to ship a shotgun to its maker for work.

ANY of the three can do it, generally the USPS is a little cheaper - remember to insure it

As far as advising, if you are shipping to a business, UPS and Fedex will already know its a gun when they pull up the address and zip to calculate charges

Also, I would NOT put the company's name on it if it has gun or similar in the name - just like S&W has "SAW" as the company name. Typically, if I have talked to someone there, I address it to him at the address so as not to alert any carrier folks along the way

On ALL of the long guns I've mailed, the PO was a LOT cheaper, which is why I use them when I have to pay for it myself. :)

Why would you need to send the entire firearm for a barrel exchange and installing a breacher on the barrel? Just send the barrel. It's not a restricted item. Can be shipped freely without special package markings. Put it in a tube with some wadding to protect it.
