A bullpup over/under with an action length of ONLY 2 INCHES!!!

A triple barrel single trigger shotgun.

Combine them and you get a triple barrel 12ga (effectively semi-auto-ish) with 24" barrels in a 26" OAL!!

OR...

How about a .45-70 for dangerous/big game. A huge advantage over previous double rifles!! Or a .460 S&W (with its ability to also fire .454 and .45 LC)?

If only all the worlds manufacturers and politicians would just consult me first, I PROMISE the world would be a better place! Your results may vary. Results not typical. No warranty or guarantee applicable.

$5K ???? :what: Hope the babies are closer to reality . Nothing more to talk about.

Wow! Definitely neat but $5K for two shots makes KelTec's KSG look like a real bargain at that price. The other thing is there doesn't appear to be any other info online about the Steinkamp SW1 since 2009. Was it ever put into production and if so, could it be imported into the U.S.?

It might make an interesting aircraft survival rifle, but at that price it isn't practical. OTOH, producing it with a shotgun and rifle barrel that you could select would make it even more practical.

Jason, if you like the Blaser, look up Peter Hofer and click on models and scroll down to the types he offers. The pics of finished guns will make your jaw drop.:D

Lol at the "too expensive" comments :p

Just how much would you expect a high end, German, state of the art CNC made, R&D intensive, hand-finished over-under to run? I'd call 5K$ a bargain, especially compared to 'traditional' O/U's, that slap a several-hundred-dollar fancy wood blank and some generic engraving onto a platform who'd development has been paid off for decades (or centuries)

I want somebody to figure out a scaled-up "Lone Eagle" cannon-breech bullpup rifle; that thing's action is like an inch long

That's the problem they're going to run into. IME, people who are willing to shell out $5k or more on a rifle want either extreme precision or extreme beauty. That fugly thing offers neither. It's unique. That's it. As pointed out, if you want unique, Keltec offers it for a lot less money, and with platforms that hold more rounds and reload with much greater ease.

What we're looking at here is the modern day rifle version of a Dardick pistol. I expect sales will be equally dismal.

Don't forget, you're looking at the gun from an American perspective. I can't say for sure because I've never been there, but the Europeans might have a whole different set of requirements.

I wouldn't mind a nice 26" gun with a 24" barrel chambered in 300 win mag. Skip the double barrel part. Throw a Krieger in there.

A highly accurate, long range rifle that could fit in my backpack would be a welcome addition to the collection.

(And the mythical WA2000's are out of my price range, lol)

Did I miss something or does it have to be cocked with the lever after loading, and does it have to be cocked twice?
Why would they not use the closing of the butt plate as a means to cock trigger mechanisms instead of adding another step in the firing process?
I guess maybe then they would have to charge $7000?

There was a thread awhile back about cool guns you want to see invented. Some really neat stuff. Mine were;

5.7x28 Glock 19/17
Tavor in .45-70 Gov.
Modern day breaktop .357 Magnum (which someone pointed out is actually available).

I still stand by those inventions but now after playing with a 10ga this weekend I would add a Saiga 12 in 10 gauge :)
