For my Rem 870, I want to get a receiver mounted shell carrier. I've had my eye on two; a Vang Comp. "Detachable Side Ammo Carrier" http://www.brownells.com/shooting-accessories/speedloaders-accessories/shotgun-shell-holders/detachable-side-ammo-carrier-prod31882.aspx, and the Mesa Tactical 6 shot (or I may end up getting an 8-shot) sureshell carrier, which I'm sure everyone is familiar with.

Has anyone had experience with either of these? Or is anyone with extended triggertime familiar with any advantages/disadvantages of either one?

I was thinking that it would be good to be able to remove the shotgun card and quickly replace it with another, and in this case I will be attaching Esstac cards.

But I also had in mind that the velcro could be noisy or something like that in a situation where I would need to be silent.

And finally, versus the Mesa, I could imagine that shells fall out of the elastic keepers easily under movement/ recoil.

Thanks, all.

I've got the Mesa one. It is well built. I like it much better than the tacstar one. I have no experience one.
