I am disappointed.
I mean, c'mon, you folks are supposed to be shotgunners, suposed to be sharing and passing forward.
Nope, nope ain't seen some stuff shared yet. I kinda figured Dave eventually would...Dave let me down...sniff, sniff..<shuffles feet> ki...kinda hurt if the truth be told.
So I thought, okay, Smoke will share...I waited, still waiting. kudu, well he too let me down, Lee Lapin - well he has a "pretty good" excuse - he just don't know any better. PJR is sharp, figure he is waiting too like I am. I got all excited when JohnBT got a SX1, nope, nothing - nada.
Guess I'll have to kickstart - Again.
--You do realize somewheres on your reloading areas you are supposed have a itty bitty bell hanging.
Don't look at me like that - just whom do you think the Hells Angels got the idea to start hanging little cow bells on the underside of Harley's to keep the road gremlins away?
Yep, they got it from Reloaders. Specifically Shotgun Reloaders.
Don't buy into the Metallic Reloaders coming up with this - This is as wrong as a RiceBurner saying Motorcyles are not supposed to leak, and they came up with the bell to ward of road ninjas.
At least one bell in the shotgun reloading areas. Better to have a itty bitty cow bell for EACH reloader.
Mine were hanging on cup hooks up under the storage area of cabinets.
FACT: It keeps misses from being reloaded into one's reloads. It keeps the malfunctions from being reloaded too. Keeps the Gremlins away that cause problems.
Don't hurt to have one in shell pouch, range bag, hanging from undercarriage of truck, ...

--Feathers on shotguns.
Yeah I know you folks think is supposed to be for This,That,or Other ...NOPE. Sigh...guess I will have to bust some myths and straighten you folks out - again.
-Myth.... Rifle shooters did not come up with this - again they stole it from us Shotgunners.
Carlos Hathcock knew this and tried to tell other rifle shooters. These others would not listen. Hathcock got a White Feather for being a good guy and at least trying to educate...
-Myth....no, the feather is NOT for Turkey Hunters , or Deer Hunters using shotguns to note change of wind directions.
Nor is it supposed to be for Turkey/ Deer to Looky there - that idiot has a feather on his gun.. so said critter is still long enough to shoot it.
FACT: Way, way, way, way way back a really really long long time ago - B. Brister came up with the feather. Yeah that Brister's ancestor.
See he got all this Art and Sciencestarted. He was shooting against a fella in competition. Stuck a feather up on the end of forearm - drove his competitiors nuts messing with their mental game.
Been passed down all the years from one B. Brister ancestor to another. Been passed forward all over the World. I mean why do you think Yanky Doodle stuck a feather in his hat? No...not for the song's sake - so he would have an extra one.
This feather bit kinda got lost in History. Gary is writing a book, he will straighten folks out on this feather.
REASON: Feather is to blow the psych of opponents.
Just happens to work for psyching out all sorts of opponents.

Okay, I kickstarted - someone else's turn...

Steve.
