Shotshell wads

Let me start off with the fact I am a fairly competent metallic reloader, novice to shotshells. My question is why could you not fashion a paper replacement for plastic shotshell wads, cup and all? Man I hate plastic, maybe it's all that works, just wondered what anybody may have tried. Not so much trying to save a buck as trying to keep my pastures and woods clean as when I was little. Have little ones coming along and I guess it makes you think a little more.

You can get your paper wads here http://www.circlefly.com/html/products.html fairly cheap and there is no need to worry about the cup, but why don't you just buy biodegradable wads? they are available at reasonable cost. Dumping lead into your pastures and woods is far worse than the plastic, that is why now a days I use nothing but steel, mostly BB`s...................
