I have a chance to buy a stainless Ruger P95 with Williams fiber optic sights for $300. I see they don't make these anymore, I thought this was a pretty good deal. The pistol looks new and I was told it was shot less than 300 times.

I have two--1 blued 1 stainless----local shop still has new ones in stock---thinking about getting a second stainless.

Good guns that perform way above their modest price.

Yes, the P-series have developed stellar reputation where it counts......economically challenged neighborhoods in large American cities. It's our version of venerable Taurus 92.

Russian version is called Yarygin MP-443. You might come across export version with adjustable rear sight which is called the 'Viking'.

My little brother from another mother defends his home and hearth with a P95. It's his only firearm, and he feels more than adequately protected.

Built like a tank, and I can't imagine it ever breaking. I've been looking at a p345 just because the p series represents such a value in terms of quality, durability, and reliability. I prefer them over the SR series, honestly.

Nice gun. You will not regret your decision. The price will surely go up if they are not made anymore. I have one I bought many years ago and it is one of the best 9mm I have. It shoots as good as my SIG P228 and built better too.

Yea , I think I made a good buy, my concern is with the fiber optic sights. The person I got it from said he wished he left the original sights on.

When I asked why, he said the front sight hung up on his holster sometimes.

Looking at it, I can see why. But I also new I could buy the originals which he didn't have any more.

I going to shoot it first and see how it goes. I wish someone on this board could tell me if they have the Williams fiber optics and how they like them.

To me they just look like an add on that doesn't work. They sure light up nicely in natural light but are worthless indoors.

You lucked up and got the decocker model. I have been trying to find another one for a long while now.

Yep-you scored getting the decock only version with the later version of the frame that has the pebble finish and a rail. You did good.
