Hello folks,

Just wanted to solicit some input on a possible purchase. I don't really need this, but it seems like a good deal.

Ruger Single Six, stainless, 5.5 inch barrel. Excellent condition. Seems to be made in the early '80s, or possibly even late '70s.

Only has the .22LR cylinder.

Asking price is $275.

I really (kind of) wanted a Bearcat, but since I have the kit gun thing covered I'm willing to consider a Single Six. I have no single action revolvers of any kind right now.

What say ye? :)
Thanks in advance.

Thank you, gentlemen. You have confirmed my suspicions... :D

Not really my kind of gun either, but for the intended purpose it should do well. It will probably live in a fishing backpack, mostly. I would get adjustable sights and a bit more velocity over a Bearcat, which is a plus.

I'll probably go by and get it this weekend. Hopefully it is still there (I suspect it will be).

After you get one good gun do we ever need another one but we keep getting them. It is a good price and rugers are cool guns.
