I don't currently have a 1911 and after watching a YouTube of the new Coonan I kind of want one. I would have to take my GP100 and apart and sell it plus the pieces to make it happen. I think I would go with polished Stainless and the black aluminum panels. Black non-adjustable sights too.

Coonans are really interesting firearms, a 357 magnum 1911 just sounds like a winner if you ask me.

Id make the trade if it were me

I would trade for sure. Unfortunately I would have to take my GP100 apart and sell all the pieces then pay for a brand new Coonan.

A Coonan is a very fun, very different handgun. No one really pays attention to it at first at the range because they think it's just another 1911. That all changes when you fire the first shot. At the end of the video linked below, my fiance's reaction says it all. :D

I ordered mine on April 1 of this year and received it in July. It has the milled aluminum grips and fixed 3-dot sights. I plan on putting a 10-8 rear sight on it eventually. I actually listed mine for sale a month or so back, but fortunately things changed and I decided to keep it. As you can see in the picture below it's not that much bigger than a standard 1911.

I don't know if I'd trade, but I definately want a Coonan. It's kind of an apples and oranges thing.

I was thinking about trading in my Browning Buckmark on a Ruger SP101 in .22lr. It's all a matter of what you like to shoot I think. Revolvers or Semi's. Personally, I like revolvers better, and would have a hard time trading one off.

Good luck. The .357 1911 is a cool concept, and I think it is going to be on my list.
