OK, so at my last transfer I was telling my FFL to be on the look-out for something small and light for the wife's purse. She carries a Bersa Thunder, which is a fine gun, but weighs close to 2 lbs loaded. I have a LCP that I like to carry, but I want to get out of .380 all together (PM9 rides well enough in my pocket). So, he proposes a trade - the LCP and Thunder + $50 for a Ruger LCR .357 Mag.

Now, I know I could sell them myself for probably $400-$425, but then wonder who I'm selling to. This way I come out a little short, but he sells them and transfers them - removing "me" from the equation. BTW, he wants $435 outright for the LCR.
Thoughts?

trade 2 guns for one never happen. She loses a gun and you get a revolver. I would bet she would dis like the recoil .

Bersa weights way less than 2 lbs loaded. Trade your gun leave wife alone if she happy.

I agree about not trading 2 for 1, but here's the deal - she complains that the Bersa (23 oz unloaded) weighs her purse down too much, and I have zero use for it. I hate reloading .380, I have about two-thousand pieces of new .357 brass from Starline (about 50 .380 pieces), I can load .357 Mag to levels she wouldn't be bothered by and the gun would be hers.......my LCP is an OK gun, but my new PM9 fills the role much better - although not quite as easy to CC.

And for the record, she has cut-off my gun allowance for the year.......this year I have brought home a BHP, FNP 45 USG, a Springfield RO and Kahr PM9.
