OK, a guy at work decided he needs cash more than a particular rifle. It's a DPMS AR-15 in 5.56 with a heavy profile 16" barrel. It currently has a 6 position stock on it, but he has the original regular stock. It comes with a red dot sight. This is a post ban rifle, no flash suppressor and no lug. He's willing to take 6 bills. I don't need it, but I don't have one, either.....I've also got the cash.

I think you can definitely get your money back on it if you decide you don't like it and if you decide you do like it, it is a good deal.

Go for it. The heavy barrel adds a lot of unnecessary weight, but it's not a big deal if all you're going to do is punch paper off a bench.

Once you're got a good lower you can always buy a different upper (lightweight barrel with flash suppressor) if you want something lighter. Or longer if you want a varmint rifle.

AR's are fun!

Good score! What red dot was on it?

Both my ARs are post-ban as well. I'm going to get the barrels (16" and 20") threaded so I can add a flash hider. Not sure where you are in PA but I think I'm going to have it done by Donley's Gun Shop, which is in Quakertown. I've heard nothing but good stuff about him.
