Should I shoot or should I wait.

So my 22Sparrow finally arrived at my dealer thus finally getting me on the Form 4 track. This is great news as I always make a trip up to our cottage in the Nicolet National Forest come late spring and I could not think of a better place to test her out for the first time. However my dealer, who is a fully stocked gun store complete with range, has offered me the ability to use my can any time I use his range. How cool is that!

Leaving from there I was totally ready to go back the next day and get some time with my toy, but now I'm not so sure. No first hand experience here, but using a suppressor in an indoor range seems like it would not be an oh so impressive first experience, not to mention the likelihood of having to use ear pro anyway due to other shooters. I want to use it NOW, but the inner Quaker in me says that waiting out the Form 4 and delaying gratification until I have an awesome place to use it will make me appreciate it all the more.

Heh, I suppose this is what is commonly referred to a a First World Problem, LOL. Either way, great people of THR, advise me!

Use dealers range first. If issues pop up might be able to fix before the trip u r looking forward to with the problem.

Definitely use it at the indoor range. It will set a base line for the suppressor indoors. And unless you set up a range in your house/basement how would you ever know how efficient the suppressor is indoors.

I would try to find a time when the range was empty and sneak in a couple of shots without any ear protection - unless that violated some rules - in which case I would NEVER recommend doing that

Regards,
Rob
