So earlier this week I found that my ejector wire was bent out of position and causing me jams. I hadn't noticed this until about 500 rnds in after one of my cleanings, so I assumed I had bent it somehow while cleaning. Well, I got it bent back into shape and took it back out to the range today and it performed much better, except nearly the end of about 200-230 rounds I got a couple of jams, and the LSHO lever broke.

So, here is a pic of how the LSHO lever broke...

The post that the lever sits on and the clip retaining it both came out of the frame assembly. I've managed to put it back in place, but the clip is not flush with the outside of the assembly and it looks like the post isn't in all the way or straight.

Past that I noticed a couple of other issues. There is a dent in the front of the receiver and on the barrel where the bolt face meets it. There is also a dent on the bolt itself and it is obvious it has been slamming against the front of the receiver/barrel. Also, should that firing pin look like that? I don't remember it looking that way...

Then I think there's something wrong with the buffer as well. On the left side, it looks somewhat mashed and there is pieces protruding from the side, it is not perfectly flat like the right side... Then in addition to this, there is a dent in the receiver where the charging handle has been making contact.

So yeah, I think there's some kind of bigger problem here. The first time I took it out to shoot the rear take-down screw vibrated so much it fell out, and now the LSHO lever, and then these issues that seem like they're going to turn into problems.

It's a brand new Marlin 60, one of the Mayfield, KY ones ( so yeah, it's a Marlington ) and today would be 800 rds through it. I've cleaned it each time I've taken it out to shoot. I've only fired Federal Champion bulk and Remington Thunderbolts.

The buffer on my old model 60 got pretty chewed up on the sides, and i also had a broken hold open lever....but that was some ....er....many thousands of rounds of use. Id send your gun in for warranty work.

yep send it , i can honestly say i've never seen that many problems in one gun, but all of mine are older guns
