I am sure we have all heard the farm joke about the government official going to the farm to inspect a field and telling the farmer that his badge allowed him to go wherever he wanted. The punch line coming when the farmer's bull chased him around the field, causing the official to yell for help and the farmer replying, "Show him your badge".
It appears to me that this same solution is what is being offered up by the Brady Bunch. If someone like the guy in Alabama starts shooting at you, just carry a copy of the Alabama state laws, hold it up, and yell loudly, "Hey Stupid, you can't do that because it is against the law!". We all know that it is against the criminal's code of ethics to actually break the law, thus forcing him to put down the gun and apologize.
I often have in-depth conversations with my 6 yr old granddaughter, who is very thoughtful, articulate, and intelligent. Even so, her lack of experience in the real world causes her to have naive and Disneyworld solutions to life's problems - and I expect that. Somehow I expected and hoped for more from our elected officials and their Leftist supporters. (Maybe I am the naive one.)
