Built an RRA Lower Assembly for my Dedicated .22 rimfire upper!!

A while back I had purchased a dedicated .22 rimfire upper for some cheap practice and to give the local bushy tails & cottontails a place in my stew pot. I had been swapping the .22 upper back and forth with my Bushmaster .556/223upper assembly, which was sometimes inconveinent. I decided to look for another lower assembly for the .22 and found that they were either almost impossible to find or waaaay too overpriced. I went to the gunshow yesterday hoping to find a lower assembly, used if possible, for the .22 upper but instead found a guy that had a new in box stripped RRA lower, new in package RRA lower parts kit and new in package RRA 6 position stock with spring & buffer. All of these added together were 25% less than even bargain basement asssemblies. RRA lowers assemblies were ranging from $450-$475. I purchased the parts, took them home and followed the step by step instructions on this website, then assembled and tested the lower assemby. I was amazed just how simple it was to do so and everything works perfectly. I have 3 of the BlackDogMachine 27 round mags and added an inexpensive A2 style rear sight. No I did not shell out big bucks for the sight as this is a plinking and small game hunting rifle, so dont give me any flack about it.....please!!!

Now that I have disassembled an upper assembly and replaced the upper housing and now assembled the lower assembly and parts, I feel very confident in my knowledge of this black rifle......my next may be a complete, from the ground up build!!

customize: To alter to suit individual requirements or specifications.

so yea, pretty much every AR anyone owns is "custom" unless they jsut buy it and never change a thing. but only a crazy person would do something like that right? :D

You all are entirely too generous about my LMT---it's a fun shooter and all, but does not hold a candle to some of the rifles prior to and following it. And yes, it did not come with an omega. it now has a Troy MRF-R on it and an aimpoint, and it still doesn't hold a candle to the ones previously mentioned.

shooterer, what are the specs on your rifle?

The high-power space-gun is awesome, and it's in my plans to build one someday.
