Exposure (or anyone else who might have a guess), which Duracoat colors did you use for the slide and the frame on that Sig? Looks great!

I'm asking because I want to refinish a Sig225 and your frame color is exactly what I'm looking for, so I want to be sure I get the same product.

It looks like a great deep concealment gun for Tony the Tiger!
I hear its GRRRRREAT!

In all seriousness, i've always wanted an orange gun (my favorite color) but since its the color of toy guns i never see them. Maybe I can find a nice set or orange grips though.

I painted my M1A last week with Krylon camo paint. I really like the results the color is just what I wanted, it seems pretty durable and dried very quickly.

Here are several incarnations of my P32. It was originally blued, but I wanted to clean up some tool marks and regulate the sights a little.
This is flat black Gun Kote, done over media blasted steel only:

This is Wheeler Cerama Coat, done the same way:

I liked the look of both finishes, but they both showed wear rather quickly on the ejection post and rear corners (pocket carry). In all fairness, I hear that Gun Kote works best on a freshly parkerized finish.
Speaking of parkerizing; it's pretty easy to do at home (there are several very good online sources documenting how to do this). This is what is on the P32 now and I'm very happy with how it's working out:

I've also parkerized one of my 1911s

I tried the Gun Kote on the frame of my SIG P229 (which was beat up a little worse than the one Exposure posted earlier). This was applied contrary to the instructions about media blasting the surface as I didn't want to remove the anodizing. It looked good, wore off right away. I then hit it with the Wheeler Cerama Coat. This has proven quite durable, even on the rails (approx. 400 rds.):

My latest project is a Marlin 75. I did the receiver in some Dupli-Color High temp Ceramic paint that MAX100 recommended in this thread: http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=324116&highlight=ceramic
I like how it looks, time will tell how it wears.

rembrandt is a suiting name seing as how that has gone beyond a gun into a full blown piece of art

Also gb6491, how difficult was that marlin project? I have the exact same rifle that my dad got when he was about 15 and then passed it to me. It has seen alot of wear and I want to refinish it. He has often said that it would just be too hard to do but he wouldnt mind if I tried he just doesnt know how to go about doing it.

I'm betting that Snow's paint scheme was developed over a bowl of Frosted Flakes. Call me crazy, but I kinda like it. I don't care for the orange and blue, but I might just paint one of my rifles Maroon and White. Go Bulldogs.

Here is the one I did. It is a 700 rem SPS take off stock. I do not want to mess up my nice laminated stock on my VLS so I use this to pack out in the fields. I used some Krylon spray paint and leaves and weeds I found around the house.

cpttango30, I like the looks of that. Anyway you could PM me some more specific instructions on just how you did that? It would be much appreciated.

Here's a No.4MK1 that was done with Krylon BBQ paint and some wood off ebay.
Krylon was used to blend with the remaining paint on the rifle and to match the replacement parts.
