This is something I noticed while shopping for 686+ accessories, and if my digicam was working there would be a pic of my Galco Phoenix. But why is it most gunleather is brown, but speedloader cases are black? I understand duty belts are usually black, but there are ALOT of brown holsters out there.

Just one of those things like 10 hot dogs and 8 buns I guess.

Just the opposite for me Robert. No camera available to me at the moment but my holster is black and my speedloader cases brown I know what you mean though. Usually you have the option of black or brown in most leather holsters, but not everyone makes brown speedloader cases.

While we're on the subject of Holsters, can anyone please give this Naive young (relatively) lad some advice on tension screws? My Galco came with 'em and has a thumb strap, I use it only for hiking as I do not EDC/CCW if I'm moving around its snapped, and I could understand if it had No snap, then tension retention would be the primary retention...sooo the idea of adjustable non snap retention with a strap is?

I also noticed GlockHolidays rig has tension adjustment...thats the reason for what I think is a screwdriver?

When I'm not at work, the Smith gets replaced with a Sig 220 (though I usually leave the Smith on as well)
