There seems to be quite a bit of interest in milsurps. With the price of some rifles these days it's understandable that more and more seem to be looking to these old war horses. Show us pics and tell us about yours.

My latest is a 1902 M96 Swedish Mauser. I purchased it for $269 and overall it's in really nice condition with a very nice bore, a #2 on the brass disk. There are some dings on the stock, but nothing at all bad. The birch stock is actually very pretty with that mottled finish that I love. I cleaned the gun with Simple Green and years of gringe came off revealing very pretty wood. I then oiled the stock. Yesterday a cleaning rod, front sight hood, and thread cap arrived from Numrich (they are fast). If what I've heard about the Swedish Mauser is true I'm in for a treat.

WWII "Man Cave" Collection.

From right to left, 1938 Russian Capture Mauser Oberndorf K98, 1944 Springfield Armory M1 Garand (refurb with all Springfield parts), 1944 Rockola M1 Carbine (in early hi-wood stock), 1942 91-30 Mosin Nagant, 1940 all matching w/Mum Nagoya Type 38 Arisaka. The quality of the picture isn't very good (lousy lighting).

Still looking for an Enfield, and a Type 99 Arisaka. I've always enjoyed military history, and the milsurp firearms are a neat way of owning a piece of that history. I think of my milsurps more as "historical artifacts" than a firearms collection.

Both are awesome shooters!

This is my 1918 Aussie all matching, notice the yellow paint, probably meant for drill use.

I don't have many unaltered milyary rifles, although I am acquiring a couple more as I have a pair of WW II era M1 Carbines en route and I am looking for an original Nazi issue K98.

Right now I have a Yugo and a Turk.

My MK4No.1 (it was a Bubba custom sporter when I bought it:)):

A couple of Mosin-Nagants (ok, I confess; I did "Bubba" the bottom one by adding the the "sniper" bolt handle and leaving the stock blonde:D):
