Showed a friend how to reload

I tried to show my 50 year old son and he said it took too long and there was too much thinking involved. Funny thing is he doesn't seem to care how much his ammo costs so to each his own.

Yesterday I showed my 32 yr old son my new 550C and old Rockchucker yesterday and surprisingly he asked me to teach him how to use the equipment when he returns for Thanksgiving.....

Normally I would say good job but then considering that it means less components for the rest of us, I'm not sure if that applies!

Yup - yesterday a friend came over and I showed him a couple 9mm reloads. I wasn't really teaching, just showing him the process. I don't think he's interested in actually doing it. But he did show interest in me reloading 300win cartridges. As a beginner myself, I don't have the dies or the knowledge. Nor do I have a 300win rifle. But I'm sure he wouldn't mind if I made some for him :).

If it were me, I would have him be there to at least watch the process. And verify the loads to data. That way you both have a peace of mind about the outcome.

I keep holding out hope my sons will want to reload. When each was about 10, I taught them how to do it, but neither has shown interest in it. The older one knows I will load for him, (did 40 deer rounds of .223 for him last night) so until he realizes I won't be around forever (the Vikings gotta get lucky and win a Super Bowl sometime......) he won't bother. I'm tempted to send the younger one in Indiana a Lee starter kit. His future FIL reloads, so he'd have guidance. Right now he only has a .40 S&W SD40VE, but I have some brass I could send him to get him started.

Just be aware, Stefan, that you cannot sell them; you would need a Type 06 FFL for that.
